Wave 1 shipped: free Pro trial, shareable scan permalinks, and embeddable score badges
Pro now starts with a 7-day free trial (no card required). Every scan can become a public, indexable permalink at /r/[token] with a dynamic OG image, plus an SVG score badge you can paste anywhere.
Free 7-day Pro trial — no card required
Stripe Checkout now starts a 7-day trial without asking for a payment method, so signed-in users can try the live Pro surface — PDF/CSV/JSON exports, the 30-day share permalink tier, and a much higher watched-domain limit — before deciding. Email alerts and scheduled-rescan controls are next on the roadmap (see Wave 3 progress).
Trialing accounts see a yellow "Trial · Nd left" pill in the header, and the Pro page now shows monthly ($9.99/mo) and annual ($99/yr, save 17%) options side by side. Annual is the default toggle.
Soft paywall in the scan result
Findings stay free. After every scan we now show four blurred Pro previews — Export PDF, Schedule re-scan, Watch domain, Team share link — each with a "Try free for 7 days" button. The CTAs include UTM tags so we can measure which feature converts best.
Shareable scan permalinks (/r/[token])
The scan result has a new "Copy share link" button that creates a public, indexable permalink at /r/[token]. The page renders the score gauge, summary, category breakdown, and findings list, with a dynamic Open Graph image that drops the score and hostname at 1200×630 — ideal for Slack, X, LinkedIn, and Linear.
Permalink lifetimes now scale by plan: 1 day for anonymous shares, 5 days for signed-in free accounts, and 30 days for Pro. See Share permalink lifetimes now scale by plan for the rationale.
Embeddable score badge
Each share token also returns an SVG score badge at /badge/[token]. The share page generates the HTML and Markdown snippets so you can paste the badge into a README, status page, or marketing site and link it back to the live scan.
